Skoda Octavia spy shot

God, we hate it when they say "evolutionary rather than revolutionary design" as though that's really clever.

So it pains us to say that's literally the case with the next Octavia wagon.

Bigger than the outgoing line, it looks too like it.

  • Why are you only releasing ‘spy shots’. They have unveiled official photos of the new Octavia, with proper wheels and no shrouding on the lights. It looks unreal ! You’re behind the game.

    And why so negative?
As a current Octavia owner, I love the new styling, nice subtle changes and the car has grown slightly, but you can immediately tell that it’s a Skoda Octavia.
Progressive changes are far better than drastic changes, made just for the sake of change.

If you look at some premium European brands, their model cycles are always longer, and changes are more natural. Unlike other cars which have enormous grilles and swooping lines, that styling is love-or-hate, and it tends to age quickly.

You don’t need to make enormous change just for the sake of it. Especially when the product is already good. Stop with the negative comments. Plus, get with the times, release the proper photos.

  • Newer model? Can’t see much change! Why bother? Skodia: get rid of your boring cardigan outfit! The sooner the better!
