There is still plenty of life in the Mazda MX-5, which the Japanese brand is planning to totally overhaul soon in readiness for sales in 2012.

We can expect a more aggressive look, as this Carparazzi illustration shows, as well as SkyActiv powertrain technology.

If the Australian dollar holds up the starting price when it arrives in 2013 is also likely to be closer to $40,000 than today.
