Bev Brock joins safety push

  • By Paul Gover

image Bev Brock is the patron of Australia's only community-based national road safety campaign.

Bev Brock has always had a generous streak.

She was generous with Peter, she is generous with her kids, grandkids and friends, and she is generous with her time.

When Bev makes a commitment you know it's worthwhile.

So it's no surprise she is the patron of Australia's only community-based national road safety campaign, called Fatality Free Friday.

It comes around on May 22 and between now and then it's Bev's job to get us thinking about a day when no one dies on the road.

She's already doing the job because I know, and now you do.

“If my support can further Peter's legacy and cause a single person to rethink a potentially poor choice or to remind them that when they're behind the wheel, they're 100 per cent responsible for their actions, then I'm pleased to do it,” she says.

“We have to be creative in our approach to reducing the road toll. This is an issue we'd dearly love to see fixed and Fatality Free Friday is an excellent way to remind people about what they can do to save a life.”
